Overview
Where are we now? If you want to start the prayer program we must determine where we are on the path of the Holy Spirit.
What do you feel when you are praying? If you have an automatic way to do it, it is ok of course. You are in a special moment of your day, in a conversation with the Father and it is a particular space for each person.
The proposal of this 7-step program is to give you a different perspective on the reading of the Bible, as well as on the daily prayers.
You will be able to find in verses and devotionals a lot of learnings and knowledge that lead you to feel closer to God and of course bring a much deeper meaning to the Faith.
Your Soul
Always happens that we look for some way out and help in the moments when we feel without answers. Reading the Bible is one of the best ways to connect with God's Word and also by praying every day, meditating on the teachings of the Scriptures.
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind’.” Matthew 22:37
The word “soul” appears 473 times in the Bible and Matthew makes it very clear when he mentions Jesus's word. The soul is our definition as humans in front of Jesus. We can feel our happiness or sadness through the soul. Your soul is more valuable than anything else in the world.
“The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.” Psalms 19:7
Faith in the Lord must transmit us the certainty that our soul will live eternally in heaven and will be carried by the Angels into God's presence. We have to consider the present and the future of our soul. We have the necessary tools and attitude to deepen the path to our Savior.
Praying Session
Can you identify at what time of day it is comfortable for you to pray to the lord?
Find the right moment for you: create a comfortable space (in your living room, in your kitchen, a place where you feel really focused)
What is your attitude towards the Lord at that time?
Your attitude is very important in that moment in front of our Heavenly Father. We have to be very conscious of the way we communicate with the Lord. Knowing what we are doing and how we approach prayer will make a big difference in thinking about our spiritual needs.
Prepare ourselves in advance to perform the prayer
A previous reading of the Bible (the specific chapter or verse), prepares our mind and heart to receive the Lord's blessings. The interpretation of the message will be aligned with your necessities and the Lord will guide you in his path.
A suggested verse to read and use in your next prayer.
“A Time for Everything”
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
