“This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.” Joshua 1:8
We have often tried to identify all the things that try to make us stray from God's path. In truth, we have done it so many times that it would be somewhat tedious to build a complete list. Today, however, it seems like the right time to discuss how daily stress and worries of an increasingly more broken society due to consumption and competition exercise direct pressure on our spiritual peace.
This vortex of madness may often drag us to the bottom to the point of making us stray from God's path and the result is oftentimes being unable to see a way out even with Christ's help.
Therefore, it is important to remember how God urges us to follow Him at all times and take refuge in His word. He also tells us that the more time we spend meditating and studying His word, the more we will see the benefits in our daily lives and we will even be able to have a closer relationship to Him.
Therefore, let's remember all the powerful things that happen when we recite His word out loud. That is how we learn to intentionally follow the right thoughts, especially when we use the scriptures as our guide.
