“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3
We often use the same words when we talk about God's plans for each of us. How we nourish our Faith so we can do exactly what Christ asks of us. How we follow the Blessed Sacrament until the end of time without questioning its decisions, having full confidence in Him and in the plans He has in mind for us. But are we really up to doing what God entrusts us with?
Let's take a moment to think, and get some distance from it, if God were to entrust us with a job such as building an ark like Noah's, could we do it? And I do not mean if we could physically do it, but if we would be willing to face all that the job would entail: Family tensions, the rumors, the setbacks that seem to want to keep us from succeeding in what we set out to do. I think the starting point of all this is found in trust.
Trust, that on one hand, God has placed in us when we take over the task, as if saying "I know that you can achieve it", and the trust that we should have in Him: complete and blind trust, surrendering to His will knowing that it is the best for us and that God will never abandon us. Therefore, let's remember that if we have a lot of trust in the Lord, no task will seem impossible to us, no commission will cause doubts, and we will even enjoy the process with the joy of having God with us.
